Data security and Chinese angle

Indian intelligence agencies have recently reportedly listed as many as 42 mobile applications that have the potential to carry out a cyber-attack against the country.

In the past also govt and defense have been giving advisories about similar apps and possible espionage. Air Force even asked its personnel not to use Mi phones. Navy asked its personnel not to be on Facebook.

All you need to know about National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID)

What is NATGRID ?

National Intelligence Grid or NATGRID is an intelligence sharing network that collates data from the databases of the core security agencies and ministries of the government. 

At present, each agency has its own database. NATGRID will combine that all databases into one big database for simple access and easier synchronisation.

When the whole country was preparing for Corona, the left-wing extremists struck in Chhattisgarh. 17 security personnel were martyred in a fatal ambush laid in the Sukma district.

When the whole country was preparing for Corona, the left-wing extremists struck in Chhattisgarh. 17 security personnel were martyred in a fatal ambush laid in the Sukma district.

The jawans came from a  joint team of District Reserves Guards (DRG), Special Task Force (STF) and Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) – an unit of CRPF.

12 jawans belong to DRG while 5 were from STF.
